Crying With Laughter: My Life Story
His lofe was full, of women and work, and writing! He is a bit full of himself but he could write comedy. It is what it is an account with "faults" of his life. A very funny man when I saw him on his last performance on TV at Xmas time.
What a wonderful autobiography, I was hooked right from the start Bob Monkhouse was a very talented and funny comedian and anyone who appreciated him on TV will thoroughly enjoy and appreciate his life in this book. Skip to main content.

Sometimes we fear submitting to our anger and tears. If you find it hard to cry, or to be angry, you might find it hard to laugh too. Sometimes people need to cry or to be angry before they can laugh again. The emotions that are connected to tears and anger will build up on top of, and inhibit, your laughter.
Crying with Laughter: My Life Story
There they will patiently wait for you to release them first. It is that simple —but it is not a simple practice. This practice is about being really honest with yourself and to do what you need to do to revert back to your balanced state.
If something unexpected causes your life to change direction from what you had planed, it is time to make a new plan—to write a new chapter in your personal story for you to believe in. Before you make a new plan and write a new chapter, you need to close the old chapter. Spend time to write out your old chapter in great detail. Write down all the things you used to dream and hope for—write everything you know and need to tell yourself about this dream you once had. Make sure you keep writing until everything is said about this plan and dream.
When you are sure you have written everything that is on your mind and in your system, you need to read this chapter over and over again. Read it with great passion. If sadness or anger is in your system, you need to passionately cry and be angry as you read your previous chapter.
Accept that this was once your dream and accept that you need to let it go now. Spend days, weeks, and months in this practice. Laughing is all about accepting this moment. When you close the old chapter and let it leave your system—then you will start to laugh again. We are all born as happy lemons—but along the way we tend to forget to stay true to our nature.
